Established in 1892, Holy Rosary is a dynamic and growing parish, reaching out to welcome people of all nationalities and races, recent immigrants, students, artists, professionals, families, visitors to nearby hospitals, those in need and the "neighborhood folk."

Immigrants from Italy came to this country seeking a better life. In Cleveland, many settled here in the neighborhood we call Little Italy. Holy Rosary Church served them well, by living and teaching the faith. It is our mission to continue that into the future.

Rich in diversity, our parish includes those who were born, baptized and raised here...worshipping next to those who now call Holy Rosary their home by choice and commitment.

One hundred years ago, God our Father called together a family of prayer through the efforts of His servant, the Rev. Joseph Strumia. Today, that same spirit inspires us to invite and call others into our Holy Rosary Parish family. In her past, immigrants from Italy found in Holy Rosary Parish a source of faith and a community of love. Today, preserving our unique traditions, we reach out to people of all races and nationalities and welcome them into our community. Recent immigrants, students, visitors to Cleveland in particular, those who have loved ones in nearby hospitals, the broken as well as the neighborhood folk are cared for among us.

As a community celebrating the Eucharist and growing in God’s love, we seek to turn from sin and to live moral lives. The same Spirit that inspired the Rev. Joseph Strumia calls the people of Holy Rosary to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through our own faithfulness to God’s Word in Scripture and Church teaching.
